GRACE-FILLED GOAL SETTING FREE E-BOOK + HUGE GIVEAWAY

, , ,

Last week, I sat in a team meeting where we went through our company PowerSheets. We talked about long-term goals and… I was stumped. I couldn’t think of any. I felt tense. I sat in bed with Ari that night and told him that I was frustrated for not being about to see or define the big picture for our company. So, he prayed over me, “God, help Lara uncover goals.” It was a simple prayer, and it broke through something in me. I realized that I’ve been feeling some fear about setting goals lately. Have you been feeling that too? The mere act of acknowledging my fears, and working through my PowerSheets to see the bigger picture, allowed me to move through them and I am so grateful! I uncovered good goals, and they’ve given all of us clarity, direction, and a whole lot of peace this week.

If you need a breakthrough too, I’ve created a FREE Top 10 Keys to Make What Matters Happen E-book that you can get by signing up here. Inside the guide, you’ll find a replay of my live Grace-Filled Goal Setting PowerSheets Webinar, my top tips for uncovering intentional goals and making little by little progress on them, and the first chapter of my book Make It HappenYes, it’s free, because I know what it’s like to feel stuck, and I want to equip you to make meaningful progress in your own lives.

This webinar was just what I needed to hear today! I am mom to a toddler and work parttime from home — balancing it all can be tough when there is no clear boundary between work life and family life. I don’t want my son to always remember me on my phone … this was super inspiring to me!!! Thank you!

    • Lara on at

Girl, my blood pressure was going up near the end of the webinar from being late to nurse Josh. #MamaProblems! Grateful today encouraged you! : )

    • Sarah on at

I have the same struggle, which is reflected in the goals I am supposed to share in this post 🙂

      My goals are
1- to be an engaged & present mom and wife. To do this, I will be there for them when they ask me. When my kids ask me to play or when my husband starts to talk to me, I will put down my to-do list in favor of something better. I will also work during my designated work time and not let it bleed over, even if it means I have to leave things undone.

      2) I will keep work manageable and enjoyable by curating my client list/projects to a manageable amount of projects that I am passionate about. I don’t have to take on every project I am asked to do, and I don’t have to exceed expectations on every project–meeting them is fine. 🙂

I’m so grateful I stumbled upon PowerSheets on Pinterest. I’ve struggled for a long time with KNOWING what I need to do to make progress towards my goals, but not being able to DO what needed to be done. I started my 6 month PowerSheets in June (prep) and July (started working the plan) and they’ve literally changed my life. My last two months have been incredibly fruitful in both my work and personal life and I feel like I’m actually living my life rather than just surviving it anymore. Thank you Lara and everyone of your support team for bringing me so much encouragement through all the little things. Your work changed my life for the better, and for that I am incredibly thankful!

    • Lara on at

Abbey, I’m so grateful to meet you here! So encouraged by you!!!

  6. LOVED today’s Grace lessons! Such a timely reminder that I need to focus on what God has planted in my life, and to also trust Him in every aspect and not be defeated by fear. Because at the end of it all, that acorn will turn into a huge oak tree with proper nourishment and love, and perseverance. Also loving my 2016 PowerSheets, I’m new to them but love love love them!! Thanks Lara!!

  22. Arielle on at

Started my Power Sheets yesterday…excited for this journey! I’m struggling with not having BIG goals that will help others. My goals seem so selfish – clear the clutter in my house, clean out my closet, exercise… I want to feel like my life’s purpose is to do something bigger. That I’m here to help others. But maybe first I have to help myself. To recharge my tank. Maybe that is my season right now.

    • Lara on at

I’m excited for you! Sometimes, getting the “surface” things done does help us to uncover a bigger picture. Keep leaning into that restlessness!

  23. I loved listening to your webinar and can’t wait for the new powersheets and sticker book!

  24. Kim Soutullo on at

I love how real you are – and are blessed daily by you and what you post on instagram!

  25. Kristyn on at

Thank You for your honest transparency not only today but in every live event. It encourages me to be honest as well. So many times, in my personal relationships but especially my work life, friends are unwilling to admit to the struggle and share their messes. I find myself pulling away from those people, because I’m done pretending. I just want to be honest. You’ve been a big part of that personal growth. Thank You.

    • Lara on at

Kristyn, I’m so grateful for your heart!

  26. Megan on at

Thankyou so much for your ministry! You’re such an encouragement to me these past few weeks! 🙂

  28. Stephanie on at

PowerSheets have changed my year AND life! A few of my goals this year are to:

    – Clutter bust every area of life
    – Continue to pursue a Christ-centered marriage
    – Create often and well
    – Start a garden
    – Pursue a healthy lifestyle (mind, body, and spirit)
    – Create meaningful and lasting friendships by sending handmade monthly encouragement cards
    – Make my secret, art-focused Instagram account public to friends and family on the first day of fall

I can wholeheartedly say I’ve touched on each and every goal at some point this year, and I cannot wait to see how 2017 will piggy-back on these goals and many more! 🙂

    • Lara on at

      This is so encouraging!!

I really appreciated your webinar today! My goal for the month of September will be to make another attempt at powersheets and sticking with it… I bought a set a (last year?) and have written and re-written (in a different journal) trying to start fresh. Maybe today’s webinar was the encouragement I need, to tackle it “little by little.”

    • Lara on at

Yes, make a mess and dig in! : )

  53. Kayla on at

Woohoo! Such beautiful things!! I LOVE my PowerSheets and i’m learning how to set goals that push me but not overwhelm me. I’ve always set too high goals and then at the first sight of failure been tempted to give up! PowerSheets have been a reminder to take things day by day and see progress over time! Some of my goals are finishing school by the summer (yay!!), being more consistent with my exercise, even if that’s just walking a little every day, and intentional living with those around me here in these season (and the smaller goals that encompass that!)

  54. Becky on at

Just started on my first set of powersheets and my goals are coming together as I work through the first pages. One of my most important- getting healthy enough to be able to play all day with my boys and (God willing) have my fourth baby in 3 years (praying for twins because we’re crazy like that)! Because what matters most to me- is family.

  55. Kayla on at

Also, I love encouraging others by just telling them the ways I see Jesus in them! I just texted my sweet friend Mary Claire to tell her how Jesus in her is beautiful and how it’s impacted my life!

  56. Sarah on at

Thank you so much for pouring out your heart so often, Lara!!

  57. Tiffany on at

I’m excited and anxious about setting goals and tending to them and progressing little by littlr

  58. Just got home from a morning of gardening with the kiddos at ZA and am so incredibly blessed by your “Dream like a gardner” thoughts. My goal is to really open up and be more vulnerable with those around me and let God really take me to places that he needs me to be. Today’s webinar (on replay) has really helped me zoom in on September and stop making excuses! My goal is to make a routine of going to the gym two times a week. I am imperfect so I’m going to start with just two times, but I am going to start. This Friday!

    • Lara on at

      Yay, Ellie! Cheering you on!

  112. Ellie on at

A good friend began an important work chapter today so I reached out to her and shared the link to the webinar and a message of hope for the new chapter she is about to begin. She has so much strength and will do so well in what is to come!

  113. So excited for this giveaway! I saw it on Pinterest and rushed over here. Whenever I need a little live on purpose inspiration, your site is my go-to. I’ve used your site and so many times but haven’t been able to afford all your resources.

  114. Shayna on at

I missed the webinar, but I will be watching it today! I LOVE my Powersheets…and I can’t wait to make it to a MTH conference one day! Thank you for a great giveaway!

My goal is to become a certified life coach by the end of the year and have a full-time Christ-centered business by next year.

  116. Ann Swindell on at

One of my goals is to keep my hope in the Lord and not in my circumstances. So much is out of my control, but he is good and in control!

  117. Ann Swindell on at

And I sent a text to my friend Rebekah thanking her for her love and care for me this week as I’ve been sick. She’s such an encouragement to me!

  118. Lisa Bosse on at

My goal is to de-clutter my home!

Oh my gosh what a fun give a way! Goals? As a wedding photographer in the thick of wedding and senior photography season, my goals are to keep growing and learning as I shoot there last few weddings AND to find new ways to look at familiar venues. As a wife…who is in the thick of building a home with her husband…eek!…my goal is to speak his love language so he knows how much a appreciate all his hard work!

  131. Sarah on at

Thank you for sharing this and for all of your constant encouragement across your social media, newsletter and blog posts. I have been believing the lie lately that my job as a SAHM just isn’t important (I KNOW that it is!) and feeling so discouraged and stuck. Looking forward to using these to set concrete goals and move towards a better place.

    • Lara on at

Yes, cheering you on, Sarah! I love this quote from Andy Stanley: “Your greatest contribution to the kingdom of God may not be something you do, but someone you raise.” : )

  132. Meagan Miller on at

Love this giveaway! My main goal for the rest of the year is to spend less time on my phone. I’d also like to de-clutter some things and spend more time in the Word!

  133. Erin on at

Lara, my husband and I were chatting last night about how I should spend a gift card I got to your shop for my birthday. I was debating between using some for a Write the Word journal or saving it for 2017 Powersheets.
Without hesitation, he told me to go ahead and buy a journal because “there will be a line in the budget for Powersheets anyway.” He went on to say how there has been a definite change in me and in my attitude toward DOING since I got my Powersheets this year, and he wants to make sure that continues next year.
All that to say THANK YOU, Lara and Team! Thank you for helping me prioritize things that truly matter.

    • Lara on at

This is so great! High fives to your thoughtful husband, and I’m excited for you!

  134. Natalie on at

This is an incredible giveaway! Thank you for your generosity!

  137. Nereida Claudio on at

I would love to win and absolutely love your Powersheets. Can’t wait to see what you’ve changed.

    Blessings!

  138. Kirsten Barber on at

Loved watching this live. I started my first ever set of Power Sheets in June of this year. They have been awesome and have really helped calm my mind and focus on little by little progress. Focusing on the end result alone is overwhelming. Love this so much!

    • Lara on at

So glad to hear that, Kirsten! I’m excited for you!

  139. Laura on at

One of my goals is to focus on what matters most to me: my walk with Christ and my family. I’m planning to take a class that delves deep into the word of God. And I also want to be more intentional with the time I spend with my husband and son. I think a big part of this is unplugging and being intentional about the quality of the time we spend with each other.

  140. Laura on at

I just texted and encouraged a dear friend of mine who has been feeling like she doesn’t “measure up” with regards to a God-given talent she has and sharing it with others. Comparison is such a tool of the Enemy and he knows how to use it! I just reminded her that not only does she have a God-given talent, but that I have been challenged to see her hard-work and dedication in honing that talent. In other words, she is amazing and to not let doubt or comparison keep her from remembering that.

  141. Katie on at

    Great giveaway, so exciting!

  142. Anna on at

Yay! So excited for the 2017 Powersheets. Working through these each month is absolutely powerful.

  143. I just moved into a brand-new headquarters for work, and the space is amazing! When I saw this giveaway, I thought the items were perfect for this new season in my career! And I would likely share some of them with friends/coworkers, too! 🙂 In fact, my “encourage someone” action was sharing a link to the Lara Casey shop with my coworker. She was admiring some of the LC desk cards I already have hanging up! 🙂

  144. Patricia Ann on at

One of my biggest goals is to become happier and healthier! For my sake and my families.

  145. Patricia Ann on at

I also am encouraging my friends who are new moms by sending messages and texts everyday!

  146. Brooke Calcagno on at

Just started this new month starting my Powersheets for the first time. Super excited with my goals to overcome the fear of failing and being ok with falling down. I just need to get back up and keep trying. Beauty of the life God has given us.

I’m so grateful it was helpful, Courtney!

  151. Allison on at

I LOVED the fruitful summer campaign, and hope you do one for fall too! It really helped me focus on the season as a whole instead of getting lost in all the tiny details of each day.

  158. YAY! So excited about new Powersheets and a giveaway!

  159. Molly on at

I spread encouragement by being open about my goals and asking friends to share theirs as well! Supporting each other makes you more accountable!

  160. Silvia on at

I am feeling super blessed for I found this blog and you. You are amazing and very inspiring. I cannot wait to read your book, which I will buy. I hope and pray that I win one or more of the prizes!! Thank you for your hard work and amazing words of inspiration. I consider myself perfectly imperfect too!

  161. Lydia on at

  163. Erin on at

Oh my spreading kindness act….I am not the best at gardening but had one leftover plant from spring hanging on…so the other day my little ones and I picked the flowers off and brought to our neighbors (mostly elderly or single women) and just their smile made my day….its good to give!

  164. Patricia on at

I’ve been on the fence about getting Powersheets, but after going through Make It Happen and another book called Living Forward, I’m convinced that Powersheets is the perfect tool to help me invest in areas that truly matter. I’m tired of drifting and I’m ready to get more clarity and consistency when it comes to goal setting. I can’t waste any more of the precious time that the Lord gives me everyday.

    • Lara on at

Yay, I’m excited for you, Patricia!

A few of my goals include reading more books (including Scripture), learning how to make/sell some homemade crafts, and creating a workable, daily routine for my family (I stink at setting and adhering to schedules, but I think I/we function better within them. Encouragement: i sent both a card full of bright sticker & washi tape and a quick text messgae to my sweet friend Allison. She is pregnant, but because of the four miscarriages that she had last year, she doesn’t trust. She doesn’t trust Jesus or herself, she’s having a hard time thinking about the baby inside of her because she doesn’t trust that she will be able to hold that sweet baby; and she’s having a lot of anxiety issues because of it. So I have been praying for her every day and trying to do skmething each week to help encourage her.

  190. Glenda on at

Thank you so much for the webinar and guide! Looking forward to keep doing meaningful goals!

  191. Lauren on at

What an awesome giveaway! I would love to use these goals to help achieve my goals! I also encouraged my husband today by sending him a message while at work.

  192. Joanna Hyatt on at

Setting the Top 3 priorities for the day helps me keep on track whiteout feeling completely overwhelmed by a long to do list or defeated because it feels like nothing gets done. Even if that Top 3 includes taking a shower, that’s a win with little kids at home!

Whether I win or not, I know someone will be Super Duper blessed by this giveaway. I love my power sheets and I have the Audible version of Make it Happen. Thanks again!

  208. Lauren Futrell Dunaway on at

I encouraged someone today by taking a mama some milk for her baby because she couldn’t pump enough. I feel like I’m in a season with little capacity to give, but she was in distress and this is something that I could. The generosity overwhelmed both of us that she would take it and I would give it and it was such a blessing to our friendship. So step out their friends and do the weird uncomfortable things to bless someone!

    • Lara on at

This is SO GREAT. I had four friends bless me in this way for Sarah over the last months, and it was the best gift.

  209. Chloe on at

Thank you so much for your products and ongoing encouragement! Power Sheets really help me to identify what is important to me, break those things down into manageable steps, and track whether I’ve made progress on those things.

Faith! My goal is to get into a bible study and work on cultivating my faith. I’m not sure why faith-related aspects of my life is one of the first to get pushed aside. I want to make it the number one priority in my life.

So great, and everything will grow well from that!

  211. Meg on at

Some of my goals are to find balance between the have-to’s and the want-to-do’s! I have made a fall bucket list that I hope to do together with my family. I hope to really focus on the people that matter in my life, and learn what things I can let go of to make more time for what matters.

I went to MTH with the intention to further my new business, but what I got was SO much better! I found an intentional LIFE and a whole new outlook on making the best use of my time and energy. I am now living for the things that matter MOST, not just the things that call to me the loudest. Lara and team, I am so thankful for you!

  231. Jenny Jones on at

Great Giveaway!! Can’t wait to see the powersheets! Hoping to get my first set!

  232. Dianne on at

I am the worst at goal-setting (let alone GETTING)! I think how it really works is this: If I never write it down, it’s not really real, and so when it doesn’t happen, I didn’t really fail. I also never share goals with ANYone. When I say all this aloud, I see the fear and ridiculousness of it. I’m very good at planning and then never launching, doing the work, or completing. Sigh. I love what you share and it is so encouraging. I just so need to keep at it and see SOMETHING through to completion. I think Power Sheets could be a big help. I guess we’ll find out. 🙂

    • Lara on at

Not ridiculous at all! I’m excited for you : )

  233. Amber on at

I am still focusing on my goal of being intentional with my prayers and my time!

  234. Shanna on at

A better home management plan and actually implementing it. 😉 Teaching my girl to read. Loving my family, our church staff, my small group well and in tangible ways. And saying NO to good things in order to say YES to the best things for this season.

Loved the webinar, love you, can’t wait to hug you in October!

My main goal is to actually take action on my goals. Haha! I so relate to what you were saying about actually planting instead of just planning. There are several things that I’ve known I’m supposed to do for awhile now, and so I’m going to just do them! I have been making progress little by little on these things, and I think corralling my thoughts into action steps is the next step to actually doing these things well.

    • Lara on at

Yay, can’t wait to hug you!

i love reading your blog posts especially about your family. but for some reason i find it difficult to put pen to paper when it comes to goal setting. I realised im afraid to make mistakes to make the page look ugly. So this is my first goal to learn that ” done is better than perfect..”

Lara I am so encouraged by everything you do. The Power Sheets, Write the Word. Your beautiful backgrounds for my computer and phone, your inspirational blog posts and quotes. They are all gifts that I can’t wait to leverage!! We actually have a lot in common. We’re adoptive moms, who love the Lord and live in the Triangle. I’d love to meet you in person sometime. I am the head of Coaching & Assessment for my firm and work with so many people who will be blessed by what I am learning from you. God Bless!!

I love this!!! I would love to have Powersheets–as a grad student, all my money comes from loans so winning them would be amazing! I want to focus on doing what matters and carving out time for the people and things I love even in the midst of physical therapy school! It is definitely a struggle, but I know God is with me the whole way… Love the encouragement from you and ladies alike that have busy, fulfilling careers, but richer lives with Jesus!

  260. Casey on at

I’m definitely looking to reach some lofty goals. Thank you for having the giveaway. Whoever wins will certainly be helped and inspired!

Hi Lara and your fabulous team! I’m really grateful for reading your book and being encouraged by the way you cultivate faith in daily life, it’s something I’ve struggled to fit in with ‘modern life’ and now I’ve been able to step back and be more intentional each day, which makes me feel more whole. Much love to powersheets!! These too have made an amazing impact and helped me choose purpose and in turn more happiness, I’m truly grateful for these and am looking forward to planting and tending all the things I love in 2017.

  263. Jenn on at

My goal is to write my first book ever. I’ve never been published, I don’t have blog (though I’ve had a few in the past) and don’t really have a platform. BUT God has placed it on my heart. It’s always been a back burner dream. I just need to be obedient. Here goes!

  264. Jenna on at

I’ve been making headway lately with small goals like planning my daily meals, seems silly I know, but it’s been such a help. im ready to keep moving forward and making headway, like continuing to work to cultivate friendships, both near and far.

A goal of mine is to develop a routine to keep any stress or feelings of being overwhelmed at bay. I’m a teacher and this is the first full year of also having two kids, plus I have a blog. I’d love to find a way to get my work done efficiently and maximize family time!

I bought my powersheets in December, to start in January. A close family member fell ill, and life threw us for a loop. This video has inspired me to start NOW.

    • Lara on at

Awesome! I’m excited for you! There’s nothing magical about January 1 : )

  269. I’m putting the finishing touches on my website – my short term goal right now is to get this baby launched!

  270. Heather on at

Using my Power Sheets for the first time right now – just finished my first month! I hope it helps me keep track of my “little” goals (read every day) as well as my “big” ones (pay off student loans)!

  271. Emily on at

LOVE this! Thanks for always being so encouraging!

    Hi Lara,
I have been meaning to purchase your Power Sheets but due to shipping cost, I chose not to buy it in 2016, save some more so I can buy it in 2017. My goal is to give myself some white space for the remaining 4 months in 2016. Due to demands from work and projects, I’ve found myself consistently sick with very little room to rest and be present. So for now, creating a white space in my schedule is on top of my goal.

    I am in such a season of…
*jump* into the unknown, the possible, the impossible and am finding your words encouraging and rescuing.
Many of my cohorts admire your years of work…yet you are still just a mom who is working out nursing schedules and embracing your natural curls.
Thank you, will never be enough.

  275. Ruth on at

    I am loving these Powersheets

  276. Naomi on at

I can tell you have the gift of encouragement and being a cheerleader for others. Thank you so much for who you are,

  277. Every year when I get a little lost, I come back to Lara Casey. And your blog posts are always, always a connection back to my faith. Thank you.

I listened to the webinar again last night, with my Powersheets in tow this time, which I haven’t touched since I bought them December 2014. I started having fun + making a mess with them, and I’m getting MUCH further. Can’t wait to set my September goals.

Thank you for telling me to own my “frizzy hair.” For me, that’s my outspokenness when it comes to local injustices and I’ve always put myself down for having a “big mouth,” not being able to keep my mouth shut when I see something awful happening.

And that it is okay to be vulnerable and to grow slow and messily.

    Thank you!

  278. Naomi on at

I thanked a friend for having dinner with me and having the opportunity to hear about her life.

  279. Anna on at

Hi Lara, I love your blog. My main goal this year was to make sure to have some meaningful time with God everyday even if it’s just short and by now that actually works most of the days. My goal for the end of the year is to prepare the holiday season long term and then hopefully be less stressed. 🙂

  280. Jana on at

Power Sheets are the best tool I’ve found for working through my goals! I really enjoy filling out the sheets and getting clear on what really matters and how I can “make it happen”! (Tried to post this yesterday, but kept getting an error message)

  281. Piano lover on at

My goals right now are simple, but not easy.
    1. To grow deeper with my relationship with God
    2. To make my prayer life better
    3. To live one day at a time. I am 19 and have cancer. But I need to trust God with my plans.

    • Lara on at

I’m praying for you now. You are strong, my friend. God is with you.

I have the 6month Power Sheets, but have yet to start them. I need to schedule time in my day/week for the Power Sheets. Thank you for the webinars! I only was able to watch one but hope I can find links to watch the others as they are so good!

    • Lara on at

Yay, I’m excited for you to dig in. Remember, just dig in and make a mess!

I loved your comment about “leaning into your season”. Seasons prepare & teach us for what is next & help us grow – loved that & shared it with a good friend of mine who is in a new season preparing for marriage!

  285. Hannah on at

Yay! Thanks so much for all you do, Lara (& team!)! My main goal for this year is to be faithful in the small things. Sounds like a small goal, but it’s had a big impact on now I live life every day.

  286. Just got married, moved to a new state, starting a new job, all of the new things! So my goal is to figure out what this new life looks for us, walking in purpose and being open to whatever calling the Lord places on me through this.
    Xoxo

I resigned from my reaching job and my husband graduated from seminary this past spring. We are now moving overseas where he has a life changing dream job – pastoring an English speaking church in PARIS.I will be discovering worth and meaning as “stay at home wife.” (No kiddos in the near future). I LOVE my husband, love serving him, and am excited about partnering with him in this ministry.I also have this incredible opportunity to explore new career options in one of the most incredible cities in the world. Yet I am paralyzed with this fear of the unknown, fear of failing, fear of wasting all the time, but most of all – fear of searching for a meaningful career that I’m passionate about and finding nothing… I’ve read Make it Happen and loved it. Hoping the Powersheets will give me some direction for this new scary, but exciting stage of life.

    • Lara on at

Wow, what an adventure God is taking you on! I’m excited for your journey!

  302. Caroline B on at

I’ve used the PowerSheets this year. Not every month, but I started out good, and then lacked time and commitment. Started again, and off it went. Progress… Anyways… One of my goals was to land a new position/job, and I just did!! Don’t care if it was the PS or not!! 🙂
I have a close friend with the similar desires. We talked through her goals, and plans, and I asked a lot of questions to make her think. I would just love to be able to support her more in her process and let her use PS too.

Yes, I know that I live in Sweden, but either I’ll pay for the postage or if you can send it to another friend of mine in NYC. 🙂 I can’t let geography get in the way here!!

    • Lara on at

Love your heart, Caroline. Yes, this is the joy of leaning into imperfect progress—it’s still progress! You are doing a great job!

2 times at MTH and I’ve finally found my voice in my powersheets thanks to my new accountability partner-I thank you Lara because I didn’t know how badly I needed it. I was searching and found myself at MTH, my new goals have been to live intentionally everyday with my husband, family, and friends and in my faith. Some days are a struggle, but the grace of being intentional brings me back around. Thank you! a million times thank you!

    • Lara on at

I love you, friend! Grateful for you!!

  306. You’re inspiring me to make small steps in setting goals… just little by little! Progress, not perfection.

While working on my Powersheets, I realized that I am usually the “encourager” in my circles, which is a role I love and cherish. It is also so nice to BE encouraged. We all need those people around us that do that, although, of course, my ultimate encourager is Christ. Thanks for helping to fill my vessel, Lara!

I found out about Powersheets after you were sold out and I’m excited to get the chance to try them for next year. 2015 had a lot of loss, 2016 has been better, and I’m ready to hit the ground running in 2017 (I have a fall birthday and start my new year’s planning early!). Thanks for all you do!

One of my big goals for this fall is to go through our home room by room and get rid of the clutter… Give away clothes that don’t fit or we just don’t wear, get the toys down to a more manageable level, go througb all of the paper work and artwork. Declutter and simplify, thereby makeing it easier for me to breath. It’s gotten really out of hand in the last year.

  314. Harley on at

    Good day, Lara!

I’m a huge fan of your blog and your powersheets (been using them for 2016 and they are the best!) Thank you so much for being so generous! 🙂

I have some pretty crazy goals and I’m not 100% sure I’m supposed to achieve them at this point, but they are there.

    1. Stay on top of school work! Don’t get behind and do your best to get ahead!
    2. Continue organizing my home (My living room is half boxes from my office right now while I try and figure out how to put my office back together!)
    3. Take better care of myself: go to bed around 10p and up by 6a every day, eat better – more home cooked meals, and try to fit in some yoga/light exercise a few times a week!
    4. Spend quality time with my daughter every day I have her (I take night classes, so I rarely see her right now) – at least 15-30 minutes of *uninterrupted* and *non-distracted* time together.
    5. Make my blog PUBLIC on my birthday (Oct. 4) – This is the most challenging and terrifying things ever! I’m not sure I have time (look at you grad school!) and I seem to become stumped every time I set some time aside to write a post. We’ll see what happens! 🙂 (IF only it was open now, I could write a post for the giveaway! Lol.)

Good luck to everyone who enters! 🙂

    • Lara on at

Harley, this is AWESOME! So encouraged by you and here’s to October 4th!! : )

  315. Amanda on at

WOW! what a great webinar. The two things that really stood out to me was little by little change- the slow cooking metaphor, and the other big thing was along the lines of using preparation as a way to hide and put things off in fear (the actual line you quoted was much more elegant but can’t find it a the moment!) 2016 has been rough for me, but I have three big goals to finish out the year:
    1. More consistent quiet time with God
    2. Make room in our house for our second child due in January
    3. Begin selling some of the crafts I’ve been working on that I have been too scared to share/put out there.
Thanks for the push to start <3

    • Lara on at

Congrats on your upcoming little one! And consider this your push to get those crafts out into the world – go for it!! : )

  316. Amanda on at

Speaking of little by little- I encouraged my friend in the last weeks of her pregnancy today who is very nervous about the upcoming transition to motherhood. I told her how she’d learn a little ever day and before she knew it she’d be the one helping another friend through the transition, but that there’s never attainable perfection and that’s ok! I’m definitely still learning both about parenting and about how to let go of the perfection illusion!

  317. Kendyll on at

Loved this webinar. Ready to live on purpose, pray BIG and take action. Thanks for sharing your wisdom, Lara!

Research and take the first steps to open a gym with my husband.
In all honesty, that last one is super intimidating to me and out of my comfort zone but with faith and tiny action steps, this gym could come to live and be an awesome area to serve others and share Christ’s love.

I’m so very grateful that it’s never to late to Make It Happen!!!

    • Lara on at

So true! Today is the best day to begin!

  343. Love love love the PowerSheets and am excited about this giveaway! I had a bunch of goals this year…a couple of major ones were to make a career change (already done thanks to PowerSheets!), connect within my church community, and meet some financial/giving milestones. I had 11 major goals in all (aka A LOT), but the PowerSheets helped me break them down and feel confident about my ability to complete them.

    • Lara on at

I’m so glad to hear that, Laura!!!

  344. You have me all excited now about this giveaway! I love how inspiring you are! I’m about halfway through Making It Happen and have been doing a lot of thinking along the way.

  345. april payne on at

you know the feeling when you don’t even know where to get help in a certain area, but then you see things that could help you and you can’t even contain the excitement? THAT THIS ALL OF THIS. Thanks for compiling this list! And for the giveaway!

    • Lara on at

      Haha! Love it!!

  346. Kelsey Rhodes on at

I’m looking forward to the 2017 powersheets. I have found myself as a stay-at-home mom after moving due to a change of duty station for my military husband. In 2017 my goal is to start my own finance consulting business. It’s challenging making time to work on my business plan with a 1 year old but getting organized is the first step!

  347. Elizabeth on at

A shorter-term goal would be to be diligent while juggling college & work and brighten the days/shine the light of Jesus to those around me. A longer-term goal would be to continue to be more involved in the fight against human trafficking. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!!

  348. Kristin on at

I’m loving my 6 month PowerSheets! I’ve read more books and feel like I’m more connected in the last 3 months with family and friends thru my intentional tending lists and “planned” fun events than I have in a long time! I love them so much I bought 3 sets to give to friends and family members so they can start taking action on their goals too.

    • Lara on at

      That is so wonderful!!

  349. Sarah on at

I’ve been the stop-start-stop-start kind of gal when it comes to my Power Sheets but I am thankful for grace and the opportunity to continue seeking God’s will and taking the next step no matter how big or small!

  350. Elise on at

One of my goals is to release my first modern quilt patterns!

  351. Elise on at

I sent a text to my friend to encourage her!

  352. Alyssa O'Brien on at

Lara and her message are a huge inspiration to me. I feel like I’ve spent my whole life chasing perfection and never felt like I’ve there. Im 26 years old, was born with cerebral palsy and walk with a walker. My life was pretty normal besides so pretty serious bullying as a teen. When I started at a new school and was out of that situation I did everything I could and more to thrive and show people I was more than my disability and could far surpass anyone’s expectations. Fast forward to my first year of uni..moved far away from home, scholarships, job opportunities …everything I ever wanted until I got really sick. 6 weeks of hospital sick, so sick that I had to leave school, move back home, give up my scholarships. It took four years to get a diagnosis of severe gastroparesis. Now at 26 I’m trying to find the right treatment so I can get back my life. Its definitely been a struggle but out of it came the best thing that ever happened to me, Jill Conley. A viral video was made about her journey with terminal breast can and her message that beauty comes from within and can’t be erased. I was so inspired I decide to go to kentucky, where she lived and was holding her foundation Jill’s first 5k and complete the 5k for her. We became best friends for the next two years until she passed this past february.

August 20th I completed my second 5k for her with only my walker. It was really hard considering my disability but more so my illness. It leaves me fatigued and nauseous so the extreme exertion was hard but it felt amazing to know that maybe seeing me and hearing my story could change someone else’s life. Imagine if I could save one person from the feeling of wanting to give up or not feeling enough? My life would be made.

My dream, what I believe is my purpose and my greatest goal is to change someone’s life through my story and my experience. I want to give to someone hope, faith and love. I would love to work for a non profit and eventually start my own to help victims of bullying and/or young adults dealing with chronic illness. Its hard being in your prime and watching all your friends getting degrees, great jobs, falling in love, getting married, building lives while your on the sideline wanting the same. I want to support others. Another big goal for me is to travel on a humanitarian trip to an impoverished country and I would love to someday adopt.
At this point I just need guidance to help me get to where I want to be because sometimes I’m not sure where to begin. I need a plan of actions so I can reach all my goals and maybe surpass them.
Good luck everyone!!! I hope you reach all your goals and more 🙂

    • Lara on at

Well, consider life made, because I am your one person right now! Wow, Alyssa! Wow wow wow. You have deeply inspired me in sharing your story of strength, perseverance, and passion. Will you pass us your mailing address? I’d love to send you something – email Jess@LaraCaseyShop.com : )

  354. Erin on at

Love this! My goal – for tomorrow, for this week, from now on – is to be present in this life that God has given me. Social media and my iPhone steal far too many moments from me!

    • Lara on at

      Awesome, Gicel!!

  359. Jacqueline Reese on at

I was recommended by a friend to explore Powersheets about six months ago and I have been hooked ever since. As a college student about to graduate there is much change going on in my life! I feel like the Lord has truly used a combination of Powersheets, Lara Casey’s encouragement and her book to remind me how important a purpose filled life is.

    • Lara on at

That is awesome, Jacqueline! And congrats on your upcoming graduation!!

  360. Britney on at

I’ve been following along now for years but have never reached out or commented before, mostly because I haven’t felt that I had value to add. But with the book and PowerSheets and journals I’ve been working hard to step up and speak up. That’s the major gift that you all have given me – the belief that I can have a place in the world to be me and to make huge things happen. So thank you! Sending so much love your way! ❤️

    • Lara on at

Girl, I’m in tears reading your words. God is so good! I’m so grateful you shared your thoughts and that you’ve been encouraged! : ) Keep going, friend.

  361. Samantha Cordialini on at

  366. Gwen on at

Texted a friend who had a speaking engagement at work and was a little nervous. Phil 4:7

  367. Rachel on at

Would love POWERSHEETS to manage my goals and dreams while adding more kids to my family. I feel like the more kids, the less focused I am. Would love to take time each month to set my intentions!

  368. Kelly Roy on at

I cannot WAIT for the new Powersheets!!! I got my first set in July of this year and am using them for these last months of the year – WOW what a game changer these are!! Absolutely love them – they are so much more than just monthly to-do lists. They have made me become more introspective, more focused, and more committed to MAKING WHAT MATTERS HAPPEN! 😉 Thanks Lara + team!!

    • Lara on at

      YAY, Kelly!!!!

  369. Maria on at

I am so grateful that I came across these Power Sheets 3 months ago! Yesterday I had a rough day and my mother mailed me a not so nice letter. For the first time EVER I ignored the dishes, and dinner that had to be made, basically just the mess that was my kitchen and I sat down at my table and I wrote my mother a response. Two hours and four pages later I was finished and I looked around my kitchen and I heard God whisper to just let it be….no one cares if I make dinner tonight…its fine! So I listened to God’s whisper and I went for a walk, to get some air and clear my head and to tend to myself and my heart….and Lara I was blessed with the most amazing sunset you’ve ever seen!!! God’s beauty in my life….and I never would have witnessed it or had the courage and strength to let it be if not for your power sheets. If not for that little voice that told me to let the mess stand and cultivate this so important relationship with my mother. I have no idea if the letter will help or it’ll work out BUT I know that I feel really good about being able to put in the work. Thank you so so much!!!

    • Lara on at

Wow, Maria, this encourages me so much. I’m so sorry you got that letter, but grateful God gave you a remarkable opportunity in receiving it to trust Him deeply. Sending love to you and prayers!

  370. McKenzie on at

My goals are to grow my relationship with God and learn more of His word, I want to read the entire Bible this year, to find a new home and a community in it when my family moves, and to give myself plenty of grace as our family grows and changes this year.

Thanks for this Lara. You are always so encouraging! I appreciate you sharing your time and your experiences with us.

  376. Kori on at

I forgot to leave a goal! My goal is to plan out a meaningful Christmas season for my family this year so that we focus on what is important and don’t feel pulled in so many different directions.

  377. Deidre on at

Love seeing your stories on snapchat and IG. First goal is to finally read your book after owning it since it debuted!

  378. Gabby on at

What a great giveaway! Powersheets helped me achieve my goal of going to grad school.

    • Lara on at

I’m so glad to hear that, Gabby! That is wonderful!

  379. Charmaine Moore on at

I am so inspired by my 2016 Powersheets! I love looking back at where I was with my goals, and the prospect of what’s coming is so encouraging. I love the process, I love the blog, I love your book . The quote from September ‘s page, ” The best is yet to come.” has given me much needed motivation at a critical time. Progress on my goals, not perfection, is what I strive for. Thank you for everything!

    • Lara on at

      Yay, Charmaine!!

  380. Audra Meagher on at

I have so many goals this year, but number one is being more intentional with my time.

  381. Laura on at

I am so inspired by the concepts and encouragement you have through your blogs and your site. Thank you for being the best YOU you can be, and sharing your light with others.

  382. Lisa on at

I can’t wait for the new Ppwer Sheets, I missed out last year.

  383. Andrea on at

My goals: to hire an executive director for a local nonprofit I volunteer for, to move my health higher up on my list. My Refrehment Goals: to ask myself, “what do I need?” while I care for my chronically ill husband. On my Tending List this month: Crush my weekly activity goal, journal about ways I am overly critical, getting the best night’s sleep!

  384. Natalie on at

I love watching all of your Facebook Live videos, and the recent webinars – they are so encouraging and grace-filled! Thank you, Lara! My goals include: finally opening an Etsy shop, making a habit out of being in the Word every day, exercising, meal planning, paying off my student loans, and reading at least one book every month.

  385. Jody on at

I’m so excited to take the power sheets journey!

  386. I’m a new immigrant to the US from the Philippines, and even before I flew to California, I’ve already been following this blog and dreaming of owning a set of Powersheets (but international shipping would have hurt my wallet!). Powersheets would be the perfect tool for me to set new goals while I’m in this season of unemployment. I’m also convinced that Powersheets will help strengthen my marriage during this transition. Hoping to win any of the resources here, but if not, I’ll still get a set of Powersheets on November 1st!

  387. Anna on at

I encouraged somebody at work. She has been doing a great job and I wanted to let her know that I really appreciate that. 🙂

  388. Julie D. on at

Lara, you have encouraged me so much! I have been able to set new goals and do new things because of it. Thank you!

    • Lara on at

I’m so grateful to hear that, Julie!!

  389. Julie D. on at

I texted my friend to encourage her heart as she starts a new chapter in her life. Change is hard and I wanted to tell her she can do it!

  390. Liz on at

My goals include taking my side business of 12 years with my mother and building a business that will eventually be full. I’d like to do what I love everyday. I’d like to find a better work/life/volunteer balance. I think another goal would be to make living a priority, rather than something that just happens around the rest of my schedule.

  391. Danielle Hoke on at

Today we encouraged the tellers at our bank by bringing them munchkins as a thank you for all they do and always being friendly. It was an encouragement to us as well when we heard they’ve had a really rough week and it was a highlight of their week to get the surprise. Definitely made me thankful we’re blessed with the finances to give freely!

  392. Harley on at

Part of who I am is to encourage people and I try to do it often. I’ve encouraged my co-workers (even though I’m still at ‘intern’ level!) – especially in regards to them taking their CPA exams. I encourage my daughter daily to continue doing the things she loves (science and reading!!) and to be the best version of herself. I encourage my friends when they are uncertain of things/unsure of how they will be able to do things; such as: starting school as an adult, working while going to school, trying to find a job, pursuing their passions. I have seen people online that need encouragement that I try to step in and encourage – a lot of times in various facebook groups for various things – when they go through a struggle or when they are wanting to lose weight. An exact example that happened last night was my good friend was talking to me about her blog that she started in March (had no idea until I mentioned I was thinking about blogging!) and she has been submitting pictures (she blogs about food) to a website that has rejected about 5-6 images so far.. so she just submitted another 3. I mean, she doesn’t need much encouragement but I did let her know that I was proud of her and admired her for not giving up and that she will get a picture submitted, I know for a fact, and that it will be great for her blog. 🙂

  393. Mikaela on at

My main goal right now is to just be in the Word and in prayer as much as possible. I’m also working on setting up a business and am realizing that I need to be setting more specific goals with that. I’m in transition right now so when things settle a bit that will be a priority! Thank you so much for your posts and encouragement!

  394. Sunni on at

so excited to watch all of your recent webinars!! i love you all and your team – you are so uplifting and encouraging!!

  395. Thank you for this Lara! I feel like you too at times: what are the long term goals? As a student, I feel like I have a handful of paths or options but still haven’t felt like I met a goal/option where I’m HECK YES I’m called to this and I’m going ALL IN on it. So right now I’m still praying over the long term and this Senior Year of career prepping. But more than that my goals for this semester are faithfulness in the everyday. Jesus first in the morning, investing in friends/family everyday, and working out everyday. The best results are ones of quiet work and faithfulness in the process. Keep doing what you’re doing and doing what God is calling you to 🙂 As I’ve watched from afar for the past 7 years of your life/career, I can tell you your influence matters.

  396. Kristin Conklin on at

I definitely have slacked with goal setting this year and I’ve yet to invest in your power sheets so having this opportunity to win is greatly appreciated. One of my biggest goals right now is learning to choose what’s purposeful and what’s God honoring…ie, not saying “yes” to things jut because I think that’s what the person wants to hear or is what I should do. Watching you live this out is always so encouraging! Hope you and Ari are well!

    • Lara on at

Friend, I miss you. If you are ever near my house, stop by and say hi. Really!

  397. Kailee Weiker on at

Thank you Lara for inspiring me to reconnect with my faith. For almost 10 years my faith hasn’t come first and I’ve had many times when my stress has gotten the better of me and since I have reconnected with God I feel a lot better about my life and the way that I am living it.

  398. Amanda H on at

Ah where to begin, so many goals 🙂 I want to be in the Word more and cultivate a passion for the Word in my kids. I’d love to find a way to use my passions better. I want to be more intentional in dates with my hubby!!

  399. Amber Jensen on at

2016 has been a year of playing catch up with a business that has been growing faster than I could imagine! It’s left me feeling scared for the future because I haven’t had time to even glance at 2017. I’m looking forward to our wedding season slowing down and being able to really set intentional goals for the winter and planning to meet those goals. Success is terrifying, but it’s happening and j just need to trust that I am smart enough and strong enough to rise up and face the challenges that come with growth head on. I can’t wait to order power sheets and a new planner for 2017. I leant my copy of Make It Happen to my lead planner on my team because I haven’t had time to read it. It felt like the perfect thing for this aspiring girl. I’ll read it when she’s done, or if I win my own.

  400. Jamie on at

I started my power sheets in February buy let them sit on my desk under a pile of other “things” that I let get in the way of what matters. I’m excited to start new this fall- focus on what really matters and start FRESH. Lara, you are so encouraging and I admire your honesty.

  401. Balance my marriage, friendships, work, running, etc.
Pray and read the Word more.
Train and complete a half marathon in under 2 hours.
Be a better wife (and learn to cook one new dish a month!)

  402. Julia Bowen on at

My goal is to set up my closet for weekly outfits and give away the rest!

  403. Carli Fernandez on at

My goal is to use my powersheets that I havent touched since January! ;(

    • Lara on at

It’s never too late to start — I’m excited for you! Just start with one sentence in your PowerSheets. Make a mess and dig in : )

  404. Ashley on at

Thank you for the Power Sheets and your message!!!

    • Lara on at

      My pleasure, Ashley!

  405. Ellie on at

Today’s encouragement was centering the needs of a friend who is struggling in a do-it-all world where doing it all shouldn’t have to be ALL!

  406. Maria on at

Thank you, Lara! Determined to find a better work/life balance and your insight is so helpful.

  407. As an independent coach with Beachbody, one of our daily vital behaviors is personal development. Make It Happen has helped me to dig into my “why” and what landed me where I am today. It helped me start reading personal development at least 15 minutes each morning before my household wakes up. And one of my goals for the rest of this year and into next is to continue with that daily, combining my Bible reading plan with personal development. Thanks for all you do to inspire!

    • Lara on at

I’m so encouraged to hear that, Becky!

  408. Lisa on at

I’ve just returned to work full time from maternity leave and so my main goal right now is to get through this season with my son and husband knowing that they are still the most important to me. I also have that half marathon to run in 5 weeks … 😛

  409. Lisa on at

I encouraged a co-worker by telling him how helpful he has been in my transition back to work.

  410. Emily on at

Like you said in your post, my goals are up in the air, and confusing, and frustrating. I have a headache today. It’s strange because I feel like I have a million options, but don’t know which one to take, and it is terrifying.

    • Lara on at

Oh I understand that feeling. I don’t know if this helps, but sometimes it is helpful for me to get all those options and ideas out on paper. Seeing them helps me sort through them and take action on just one first. I’m cheering you on, Emily!

  411. Catherine on at

I have absolutely loved my Powersheets and can’t wait to continue! Progress, not perfection!

    • Lara on at

I’m so grateful to hear that, Catherine! Here’s to a great finish to this year!

  412. Sarah Teeter on at

While the season you have been in is full of family and writing, I have been so encouraged seeing glimpses into daily life and how your strength comes from God. Loving the inspirational IG posts and your weekly blogging. Thank you!!!

  413. Sarah Teeter on at

Encouragement: opening our home to a morning with a best friend, as we haven’t had the time to connect lately. Listening, watching our kiddo’s play, and spending time together was an encouragement to both of us. Already scheduled the next chat date, so they continue to happen.

  414. Alli on at

Couldn’t listen all the way through live. THANK YOU for offering the reply. September is my first PowerSheets month, and this couldn’t have come at a better time!

  415. Rachelle on at

I love to encourage others and try to do it daily and often. Texting friends encouraging words and/scripture, emailing my husband telling him how grateful I am for him and encouraging him on his tests (he just went back to college), and putting notes in my daughter’s lunchbox.

  416. Hannah on at

I watched live and finally sat down today to process and watch again while I could take notes during my 11 week old’s naptime. I truly feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement always!

  417. Heather Dreeman on at

Loved the webinar – it was great!!! I am using the Powersheets to make intentional family memories and I also have my Bible out on my kitchen counter (one of the tips from the faith webinar) & we ended up reading from it – or rather, my 9yo (the my 6yo) did!!! YAY!

  418. What a beautiful giveaway! Thank you for the chance!

  419. Beth on at

Maybe setting goals will be easier and more realistic using your tools!

  426. Heather on at

One of my goals is to complete the graphic design e-course by Jones Design Company and the Rescue Academy e-course by People of the Second Chance.

  427. Mary on at

Thanks Lara for reminding me life is not as complicated as I make it to be and pointing myself, and all your readers. My goal is to be in the word and prayer everyday, to help me to get back to “simple”. Not because we serve a simple God, but because He has made a way for hope, and I need to rest in that. Knowing that God who gave his Son for me would spare little else to make me at more like him, at peace and the ability to see simplicity in everything I seem to complicate

  428. Sarah on at

I have a few big goals this year: seek God, finish the groundwork for a business I would love to launch, and to be a better sister! So thankful for the PowerSheets and everything you all create!

  429. Amy on at

Working on getting up before my littles to have some quiet time. It’s just so hard when one is up by 5:30 most days. But baby steps, right?

  430. Katherine Heath on at

I want to find balance. I want to live intentionally instead of just surviving life on a day-to-day basis. Most of all I want to be an awesome roll model for my 3 yr old daughter.

  431. Kylie Horan on at

I’m so grateful for my dear friend Carrie and her introduction to your blog. It is incredibly motivating!

  432. I am getting ready to get married AND join businesses with my husband and this would be so wonderful to set goals and make big things happen!

  433. Sarah on at

You are such an inspiration. I hope to get my goals back on track.

  434. Erika on at

  439. Rachel on at

SO excited for the 2017 powersheets!! I started using them in 2015 and wondered if they were worth the money, hesitant to “take the leap”, they have literally changed my life in the best ways! I love Lara and the Lara Casey Shop team and the heart they put into these products! Xoxo

    • Lara on at

I’m so encouraged to hear that Rachel!!

  440. Amanda E on at

My goals are to simplify our lives as a family by creating some rhythms!

  441. Erin on at

Thank you, Lara, for making goal setting a little bit easier and brighter!! I may not be the best with using my Powersheets, but the encouragement and flexibility with them makes it that more easy to plan and ponder.

  442. Heather on at

    beautiful words, as usual!!
