WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS…

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21) These words have started to sink in lately as my schedule gets packed and Gracie grows as fast as my ornery tomato plants. Notice the order of this verse. Where your treasure is comes first. Then the heart follows. Sometimes, making the right things happen changes our hearts. Don’t wait for your heart to change and for your circumstances to be perfect to take the leap. Treasure what matters. Take action on what matters. And watch God change your heart to be closer to His. A little piece of my treasure…

Where is your treasure today? Where do you want it to be? I’d love to hear from you…

These pictures make my heart ache a little for the time when my boys were that little, carefree and full of so much love and joy.BUT I seem to be getting not so gentle nudges from our Lord that now is the time I’m to learn to treasure. To let go of the Momma I was and to embrace the wife, mother and grandmother I’m blessed to be now. Little by little this quieter , slower chapter of my life is becoming beautiful
Kiss that little girl and soak up this time with her!!

Oh gosh, Pam. I have to daily strike of fast-forwarding to worries of a big boy in my life instead of a little fella. How great that you’ve found enjoyment in the new stage too.

Simple, simple summer fun with my family in my favorite place. It’s not always convenient to leave everything else behind, but I do it with joy. Miss y’all!

My family is my treasure. Clearing my schedule to have quality time with them is top priority. Love you, Lara! And sweet Grace! Ps. She’s so big!

After another bowl of yuck (as I call it) in June, July has me planning something I would never do, that has the potential to create a pretty amazing memory for me and several others in my family, thinking along the MTH lines of doing what matters. But it involves me getting over some crazy fears and trusting God and myself again, when I am having a hard time trusting either after the last few weeks. Thinking more about my treasure (s?) and how to enhance and embrace them after reading this. Thanks Lara.

I definitely am selfish and treasure my own comfort and success!! I would rather loose myself in my to-do list at the coffeeshop I am working from today, than to take the moment to get to know someone, and hear how they are hurting. This morning my husband and I prayed that we would be faithful to encourage others, even if we don’t hear back from them. That we would share the gospel, even if someone else is the one who ends up seeing the fruit. We want to treasure the hope God has given us.
