LIFE AFTER BABY: POSTPARTUM RECOVERY (AND REFINING)

,

Before I share anything ahead, know this: I am so grateful! I am going to share some of the challenges of the postpartum period, but I know these are so small in the big picture. I praise God for my family, and at the same time, the weeks after baby were (and still are) challenging. I know the same is true for many women! JOSHUA’S BIRTH

You want to take note of labor symptoms and get excited and prepare well, yet you have to completely let go as each day passes. You…

HAVING A BABY NEXT WEEK

, ,

Ten days till my due date. Every night I get in bed and think, “This could be it.” I’ll be honest, these nine months have been a blur. I kept this at a slight distance from my heart. I didn’t want to go through loss again and I didn’t want to make those who might be grieving or longing feel sadness. This all felt different than before. More private. More sacred. More still. We didn’t decorate a new nursery. I…
