For a long time I thought, “Maybe I’m not good enough or reading my Bible enough, or mature enough as a Christian. Maybe I’ve been too bad. Maybe I’ve messed up too much. Maybe God just isn’t listening.” I felt like I didn’t get it and I never would.

Cultivate-Faith_IG

Then God showed me that faith is not about my ability to perform. I don’t have to be perfect to have it. I don’t have to have grown up in church (I didn’t), or have done all the right things (didn’t do that either), or have quiet time every day (mine is pretty loud!).

The “Good News” is really good. We don’t deserve His grace and He gives it to us freely.

– Maybe you have no idea where to even begin with faith, and it all feels overwhelming.
– Maybe you’ve been at this faith thing for years, but you feel like something is missing.
– Or maybe things are great, and you just want to keep the momentum going.

Right now I am meditating on this verse through my IF:Equip study: “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live feely and lightly.” Matthew 11: 28-30 MSG

    • Emily

Also, I am SO eagerly awaiting the release of the new Write the Word series! The first set was SO good for me and I know that this set is going to be even better! THANK YOU for creating such an easy way for me to soak up God’s word!

    • Elizabeth Hill

I love this verse, and the way the Message portrays it is so beautiful. “Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it.” Oh, yes please, Lord.

  2. Bethany

Registered for the webinar and can’t wait to watch! One of my favorite verses is Ps 86:11-13 — “Teach me Your way, Yahweh, and I will live by Your truth. Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name. I will praise You with all my heart, Lord my God, and will honor Your name forever. For Your faithful love for me is great, and You deliver my life from the depths of Sheol.”

  3. Maribel

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭NIV

  4. Abigail

I how God the Father shortened the distance of the road the Prodigal Son was walking! Literally, the Father ran! God’s done that for me. And he’s restored me. I also love in that story how part of reinstating the Son was a ring, a robe and sandals. God loves fashion…and a good party!

  5. Karlie

My favorite bible story is when Jesus calms the storm with his disciples in the boat. It shows me that I don’t need to freak out when storms come – Gods got this and he calms the storm to show me I need to trust him.

  6. Nicolette

I love, Ephesians 2:10 – For we are Gods handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which he has prepared in advance for us to do” I pressed into this verse a lot last year as I took some big leaps of faith, and now as doubt and questions creep in. He has prepared me, He has gone ahead of me and I continue focusing on that truth. Or even when I’m in overwhelm from my to do list, I pray for clarity, focus and discipline in what’s will move me toward His plans.

  7. Kendra

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

    Joshua 1:9

In dealing with fear and inadequacy, this verse always comes to mind as a source of strength, as the Lord commanded it and stands around me. And now as raising a 9 mo boy, I pray this over him, as I want him to be a man of the Lord and who lives with His courage.

  8. Maryann

Psalm 37:7 – Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.

  9. Ash Willard

    Esther 4:14

  10. Rochelle

My favorite bible verse is Prov 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”

This verse helps me to see my way when I think there is no way.

  11. Amanda j

It’s not a favorite verse or story, but I LOVE the Psalms. There’s something so beautiful about what David writes and I could (and try to) read them every day.

  12. Kelly Kamps

Exodus 14:14 the Lord will fight for you..you need only to be still.

  13. Christy

Psalm 46:10 has been a favorite of mine for a while. I always need the reminder to BE STILL, trusting that God’s got it all–the big and the small!

  14. Kayla Jones

Right now I have been trying to put Philippians 4:6-7 into play in my life. There have been a few life circumstances that have been making me weary and worried that God won’t come through for my husband and I. I am trying to learn how to trust God and his timing before, after, and during the storm, and being in the midst of it all that is quite hard. This verse is a great encouragement to me that the Lord knows and will meet all our needs, if it’s not our timing it will be his perfect timing.

  15. Robin

2 Timothy 1:7 ” For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or fear but one of power, love & self discipline.” I have known this verse since I was a child but this year it is changing my life! And I cannot wait for the journal release & the webina, to learn a bit more on ways to capture all the amazing things God is doing in my life.

  16. Katie Heilman

My current favorite as I’m reading through the Psalms in a rough season of life is Psalm 61:2-4. “Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.” Any mention of God as my refuge, my strong tower, my fortress… it just makes me feel so loved, surrounded and cared for.

  17. Libby

Philippians 4:13. ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’

  18. Jenn Hans

Right now I am really into the story of Gideon and how God called Him a mighty warrior even when He felt small !!

  19. Sydney

Hi Lara! Thank you for your ministry! My favorite bible story is found in the book of Hosea. God calls Hosea to marry Gomer, a prostitute, and to be faithful to her to the end, no matter what. God tells Hosea that Gomer will not be faithful to him, that she will run from him over and over again, but to continue to come after her and keep her as his own. I love this picture of God’s unfailing love for us. It is so good to know that no matter how many times we run from Him or start from His ways, His love never stops, and He will come after us again and again and again. He is faithful.

  20. Rochelle

James 1:5. The part about God giving generously without finding fault just hits me everytime.

  21. Mary Beth Wortham

My favorite bible verses are Habakkuk 3:17 -18 “Though the fig tree does not bud, and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food… yet I will rejoice in be Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”

  22. Kristen

I would have to say just about all of Ephesians and Phillipians (it’s hard to pick one verse from those books) but I’m really leaning into these few from Eph chapter 2: “BUT GOD, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST – by grace you have been saved…so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (v4-5, 7)

  23. Megan

    Psalm
    37:4!

  24. Ashley Ditto

Hello Lara! My favorite bible scripture is Proverbs 14:1. A wise woman builds her home. It’s helped me be the kind of woman I want to be coming from a childhood full of alcoholism and violence.

  25. Natalie

    Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

I actually learned this verse as a song at Vacation Bible School one year. Oftentimes, I find myself singing it in my head!

  26. Karen G.

What a great giveaway!! It’s so hard to pick just one verse, but a current favorite is Romans 15:13, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  27. hope

psalm 34:8 oh taste & see that the Lord is good! blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

  28. Rachel

Romans 8:28 has been my go to lately ❤️

  29. Toria

Favorite verse- oh my, how could I ever choose! Maybe I should choose my favorite story? Even that is too hard! But a passage I keep meditating on lately is John 15. Fruitful abiding stemming from oneness with Yeshua. As I shared on the Cultivate What Matters IG post, my soul has felt a little weary and dry lately. I’m praying on finding a new aspect of this “abiding”, something to fertilize my faith- and that’s why this webinar excites me so much! I won’t be able to watch it live, but I can’t wait to take my time watching the recording, soaking up new truths!

  30. Dolores

    Be Still. Psalm 46:10

  31. Heidi

The story of Esther is my favorite. It shows how God can put us in places to be used for His glory if we listen/follow/obey!

  32. Susanna Zach

Yay, I can’t wait for the webinar! My favorite passage in the Bible is Ephesians 2:1-10. I recently memorized it (with motivation of my Powersheets)! I love the stark contrast of our life before Christ and life after Christ, full of immeasurable riches!!

  33. Elizabeth Hill

I just got a journaling Bible this year so that I could write notes in the margin and it has totally changed my time with the Lord! I am so much more engaged and attentive because I feel like I can write, draw lines, highlight, and really dig in! All that to say, I am really looking forward to your webinar with Shanna.

A verse that has been my prayer for 2017 is “Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.” Psalm 119:37. God has been faithful to answer my prayer, and life is sweet looking at Him.

  34. Courtney

I just read the Creation story to my daughter… what a great reminder of the mighty God we serve!

  35. Danielle

Yay! I can’t wait for this webinar!
Currently one of my favorite Bible stories is about the unnamed Shummanite woman who builds a room for Elisha. He prays and tells her she will have a baby. When that boy is a few years old, he dies. The woman tells no one, she actually tells people that everything is okay and goes straight to the man of God so he can help. The boy is raised to life again. I love that the woman didn’t stop to talk (she was focused on God and her mission), she told people things were fine (she spoke positivity and nothing negative for others to comment on). There are so many lessons within those few passages and they inspire me in my walk with Christ!

  36. Kelcie

Right now I am practicing Romans 12:12 daily. It seems to fit! So excited for the new Write the Word!

  37. Mary

I’m in the middle of Beth Moore’s Entrusted bible study of 2 Timothy and it is such a beautiful encouragement to to using our giftings to share the gospel!

  38. Aelinor

So looking forward to this webinar. This is by far one of my favorite verses: “So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.”
    ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭8:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

  39. Brook

My favorite life-giving verse is Isaiah 40:30-31. I love the story of Ruth. I love John 11 and reading about Martha and Mary’s love for Jesus, and I love when Jesus tells Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” (NLT)

  40. Michelle

    Luke 12:22-30!!

  41. Sarah Grace Sisbarro

One of my all time favorite verses as I go through life fighting my perfectionist perspective (done IS better than perfect!)… every time I get overwhelmed with life God brings this back to mind.

“He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you except to do justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. – Micah 6:8

When I am stressed and have lost focus, this verse helps me put all of it back in perspective.

  42. Abby

    Isaiah 54:10
    For the mountains may depart
    and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

The She Reads Truth study of Isaiah for Lent has been spot on for me in this season of life !

  43. Crystal

    Registered!!! Can’t wait!!!

  44. Crystal

Registered and am currently reading through the book of James which has always been a favorite. Micah 6:8 is my favorite verse and right now I’m working on memorizing Psalm 103!

  45. Laura

It is hard to pick a favorite, but I love the story of Moses. It really shows me that God can use even the most unlikely people (ME!) to further His kingdom, and be a small part of His grand plans! What a privilege!

  46. Lara

My favorite story right now is when the Lord tells Joshua to instruct the priests to set their feet in the rushing water of the Jordan and He promises to dry up the river so they can cross over. Can you imagine? This is such a crazy plan, but they listen and TRUST and set their feet in the water. And God, once again, gives them safe passage. That is a literal step of faith!

    • Traci McDuffie

This is a good one this was just in one of Tony Evan’s sermons!

  47. Annie Flaherty

Registered! Can’t wait! I love the story of Joseph. (Ok, yeah, because I love Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat…. but I also love Joseph’s faithfulness!)

  48. Brynn

I love the book of Hebrews. It’s hard to pick a favorite but I just love the whole book. I love that it is meaty and chock full of great truths.

  49. Taryn Austgen

So many great ones. But two always come to the top for me: Matthew 6:25-34 because I’m a worrier.

And Luke 8:38-39. Jesus heals a man of demons and the man asks to come with Jesus. But Jesus tells him “no. Return home and tell how much God has done for you.”

When I graduated college single and not sure what to do next, I started looking into missions work. God really used that passage to show me that in that season of my life, He had plenty for me to do right where I was. And boy, did He!

  50. Katlin

    Hebrews 12:12 🙂

  51. Lindsey

My favorite verse is Habakkuk 3:17-19a…it’s been my favorite since high school because it just reassures me that no matter what goes on in life and what we may not have…everything will be okay because God is my strength and He is my ultimate joy.

  52. Dee

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”
    Psalms 91:14‭-‬16 NLT

  53. Kate

ONE of my favorite bible stories is the story of Joseph. He remained faithful and hopeful that his dreams would come to pass, and God remembered him!

  54. Michelle

Just registered! Can’t wait! I love Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future

  55. Natasha

My favorite verse: Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, That will I seek; That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. As a new believer, this verse spoke to me so much because I felt Gods love and joy with such intensity all I wanted to do is dwell and sit with him, now 20 years later, a husband, two beautiful children, many unexpected trials and challenges later I am longing to slow down and experience his joy and love as I once did. I recently found your blog and feel so blessed and hopeful that I can cultivate what matters! Thank you! Natasha

  56. Sarah

I love Exodus 14:14, The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still. It’s a great reminder for me to let him be in charge because He has a plan.

  57. Danielle

Hannah’s story in the birth of Samuel (1Samuel 1) is one of my most favourite stories! The strength of her faith always inspires me!

  58. Julie

The father I get in my Christian life, the harder it has become to pick a favorite part of scripture. I love the complex ways that the word of God is linked from beginning to end. It is truly beautiful. I am particularly drawn to Gods redemptive ways. I love thinking of Him as Redeemer.

  59. Whitney

Favorite verse = Songs 8:6. I love that we are given a direct statement that there is something just as strong as death – love is so powerful!

  60. Eli Hamm

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”  ~ Psalm 126:3

Over 10 years of dating we had many hard times. The Lord was faithful even though our actions were not obedient or loving. We are in a new place thanks to God’s grace. Planning our wedding in September and thanking God for all the hard times and good times. Thank you for creating these journals – I love them!

  61. Christina Rodriguez

Registered! Right now I am focusing on Psalm 45:7. I am sttuggling to maintain my joy but I know God is pouring out the oil of joy over my life.
“You love justice and hate evil. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”

  62. Lauren

    Proverbs 31:25-26
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”

  63. Amanda Hedgepeth

Oh girls!!!! This is amazing! I would love to share my favorite bible verse because it just quite literally saved my life a couple weeks ago. Psalm 18:16 – he reached down from on high and took hold of me: he drew me from dark waters . This verse stood out to me in a way I can’t even describe the first time I saw it. Three weeks ago our family was on the way to rescue a puppy whose mom had been hit and killed by a car. We were 11 minutes away when someone ran a stop sign and almost killed all five of us. The dark things that I had experienced and seen in life up to that point were already so heavy but this was on an entirely different level… this was the scariest millisecond of my life and every moment following. Even though I got hit so hard I was able to wake my husband up out of shock, get myself together despite being in incredible pain and pull our kids out of the car seats and start running down the road to safety. Somehow we all lived but a therapist told me a few days after the incident that God had been there when I experienced all the other things in my life and because of the crazy animal instinct of a mother who had been through such low times I was able to function highly in a situation where I should’ve been completely out of commission. All of the previous pain I had been through when I felt so alone ended up affecting my brain in a positive way during the accident to where I was able to get my family out of that car against so many odds. During the moment I was terrified but looking back I felt God pulling me out of that airbag and giving me strength to lift my children. I’m such a positive person but I’ve been in the doctors orders before but I also know that he’s been there with me. There’s no comfort like that. He is so so good! He saved our family, we have more work to do on earth in His name! 🙂

    • Traci McDuffie

But God! So glad you and your family are ok!

  64. Amy

How to pick just one? !

Jer 29:11 has been my “breath prayer” since high school.

  65. Sarah

One of the stories that has been on my heart most recently is the story of Moses in Exodus where Aaron and Hur held up his hands. While Moses’ arms were raised the Israelites were winning the battle. God brought this to my mind this week, and I have used it as a reminder to allow those He has placed around me to support me and the team we are leading.

  66. Jen F

Proverbs 3:5-6, I love the book of Matthew, especially Matthew11:28

  67. Natasha

  68. Alicia

My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 138:8
“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.”
I just love this verse. It is currently my life verse 🙂

  69. Lauren

My favorite story is the story of Samuel. My Grandmama had an old bible story book and I would beg her to read Samuel to me. I have her book now and read that story to my son. It’s my way to introduce God & her to him. <3

  70. Mikaela

My all time favourite is John 17:3 — And this is life eternal, that they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
Also John 10:10 I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly!

  71. Laura

Romans 8:32 I hope it’s in one of the new write the Word journals!

  72. Laura

    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭ is one of my favs!

  73. Melissa Skrepak

Romans 8:28! “For we know all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” Even when we don’t know what He is doing, He always works things together for our good! He is always purposeful. May I seek to learn after Him and enjoy the process. 🙂

  74. Gracie

I’m all registered! One of the most deeply meaningful verses to me is Ps. 62:5, “My soul finds rest in God alone.” It was spoken over me in a dry season and is a always a fitting reminder when my heart seeks to find satisfaction in things other than Jesus!

  75. Kim Davis

Awesome giveaway. I have always wanted to get into bible journaling. I cannot wait for this webinar. Just registered.

  76. Linda

My favorite verse right now is:
“May the God of all hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

  77. Valentina

Yay! Just registered. Can’t wait. My favorite verse at the moment is Isaiah 26:3 (“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”) my anxious heart needs this reminder all the time <3

  78. Amanda

My grace is sufficent for you for my power is made perfect in weakness 1 Cor 12:9

  79. Traci McDuffie

My favorite verse is John 15:16 (it’s the first verse I memorized this year thanks to Powersheets ha!)”You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” And my favorite story in the Bible is the story of Joseph …. I read the book You’ll Get Through This by Max Lucado during a really difficult period in my life and it just brought to life that story as well as Tony Evans Detours sermon series…it’s just a good reinforcement that God has a particular path for us and that while things don’t make sense they will in time…..and you can get through anything!

  80. Traci McDuffie

  81. Erin

Let your light shine before others so they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

  82. Jessica

I don’t have a favorite bible story because different ones relate to different seasons in life. Right now I’m going through a season of waiting…I just finished Daniel

  83. Leslyn

Psalm 37:4-6 have been such an encouragement to me lately. ❤ so excited about this webinar!

  84. Sarai

Right now my favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” (ESV) It’s such a great reminder to me as a newer mom and wife. I’m not able to be a good mom or a great wife in my own strength and serving can be downright exhausting. But with Christ’s strength and grace, I can do all He requires of me in both roles.

  85. Aggie

My favorite verse for now is this:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Cor 12:9

I was drawn to this when my Dad died in 2013. He was a God-fearing man and served the Lord almost all his life – and when people talk about him, I am in awe how they keep circling back to how God has manifested in love and power throughout his life. My dad was an imperfect man, someone who didn’t believe and yet by grace and Grace alone, his life became a testimony of how God loves.

Trials came shortly after he died and our family pulled through with this verse — His Power is made perfect in weakness. When we are weak, He is strong. We only need Him, and all will be well. He is ALL the we NEED.

Typing this made me so emotional! There is really something that happens when you write the words….

  86. Makayla

I love love love Psalm 73:26. It’s gotten me through a lot of hard times and I love sharing it with others!

  87. Ginger

Right now the verse I’m loving is John 14:27. I’ve also been praying through parts of Ephesians. Can’t wait to see what the new journals hold!!

  88. Ginger

Not sure if my comment went through bc it said duplicate despite clicking it once… right now I’m loving John 14:27!!

  89. Mollie

My favorite verse is Psalm 121:1

  90. Katie F

My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11. Throughout my life, no matter the season, I seem to struggle most with fully trusting God and His plans for my life. This verse is a constant reminder that He has everything under control. And the things that I want and that I think I need pale in comparison to what His plans are for my life. It’s a lesson I’m continuously learning and reminding myself, but as Lara Casey says, “Progress not perfection” and “Slow progress is better than no progress.”

  91. LP

My favorite passage is John 4: 1-26, which is the story we all know as “the woman at the well.” I just love how Jesus teaches us about thirst for the Living Water. <3

  92. Krystal

My favorite verse is Isiah 41:10. Looking forward to the webinar!! And the new WTW..I only have a couple pages left in my current volume.

  93. Michelle

    Ephesians 2:10 ❤️

  94. Suzanne Judge

Right now I’m leaning into the Psalms – particularly Psalm 23. I grew up reciting it in school, but it’s funny how sometimes you can recite something over and over but you never really absorb the depth and gravity of the words until one day you realize the comfort of those words!

  95. Anna

My favorite verse is also my life motto and that is Hebrews 11:1 which says “Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen.” My first memory of this verse is actually from The Santa Clause! The movie says: Seeing isn’t believing. Believing is seeing. And it’s always colored how I try to live my life which isn’t always easy but definitely worth it

Registered! One of my favorite Bible stories is the one of Ruth. She went through so much hardship, but God was orchestrating all good things that layed ahead for her. Through the lows, He brought her highs and used her to future his kingdom on earth.

    1 John 4:9
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

My kids and I are memorizing this verse. My current fave bc it is truth. Looking forward to the journals release bc I want to get a set for my mom’s birthday.

I love the story of Joseph and his absolute assurance that what his brothers meant for evil, God meant for good and turned it that way. Amazing.
Thanks for your posts and intentionality Lara. You are so encouraging! 🙂

I love love the story of the woman at the well in John 4. I love how through one encounter she was introduced to new life. I love that Jesus saw her flaws, her state but still pursued her. I guess because He recognised what was within her, above all He loved her despite all the chaos in her life, the emotional, natural, mental and physical. He loved her. It’s a sheer reflection of me and where I was at one point and it reminds me that even when it gets chaotic, God loves me and desires to encounter me to bring me into new life, to give quench my thirst when I feel empty, overwhelmed or lost (thirsty). Fresh Living Waters is His Spirit. That’s why I love the passage.

Although I have several favorite verses from a few different seasons of my life, Romans 8:28 has been the closest to my heart for the longest! I found so much encouragement and hope in those words when I was a teenager going through some painful experiences. But God did work everything together for good! And now I’m so thankful for that rocky time in my life because God got me through when nothing else could! ♡

  101. Katy Zitzmann

I love Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 5:2. Living a life of love and transforming our minds!

  102. Katie Martin

My favorite verse (was even my confirmation verse) is Romans 8:39 – “Nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Love how true that is, even in today’s world of busyness and distractions. It’s refreshing!

So excited for the webinar – was registered even before the giveaways! Thanks for all you do, CWM Team!

  103. Kimberly

Thank you for the invite to this webinar! I’ve been feeling so dry spiritually and am so looking forward to this encouragement. I’d love to win a journal too!

  106. Sharon Meekins

Romans 8:28 Thr Lord promises He works ALL things for my good and His glory. This is my life verse.

  107. Alexandra

My favorite passage since I was a teenager has been Psalm 103. Whenever I feel distant from God, lonely, or directionless, Psalm 103 always pulls me back to Him and what is truly important. It helps me to remember his unceasing love for me despite my short comings “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him” and to remember how richly he has blessed my life “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits”. He has truly saved me and sees me as his princess “who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion”.

  108. Rebecca Dale

The prodigal son is my favorite story; we are always welcomed back into His arms!

  109. Victoria Blackley

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.- Philippians 2:3-4

  110. Lilian

I am excited to participate in the webinar because I am longing for a faith refresh. I love the story of Paul with the Philosophers in Athens in Acts 17:16-34. My favourite verse has got be v,28 for in Him we live, move and have our being. This simple statement has several layers depending on how you unpack it. It reminds me that I am nothing without the Lord. Looking forward to Wednesday.

  111. Jaclyn

Registered and looking forward to it! Favorite scripture at the moment psalm 66 – listen all you who fear the LORD and I will tell you what he’s done for my soul.

This year God has allowed me to more clearly see all the ways he has worked in my soul and I feel compiled to share with others.

  112. Tammy Nguyen

Favorite Bible verse is psalm 37:4″ Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” At first I thought this dear was about serving Him and he will eventually give me everything I want..Boy, was I wrong. As my focus is on Him, my desires will start to align with the desires God has for me.all the things I once treasured, I can count it all as lost and focus on the realtreasure which is God and His love. How awesome is that?!
My favorite Bible story would be Boaz and Ruth, a story that exemplifies the purest love God has for the church.

  113. Jen

My favorite story currently is, oddly enough, when Jesus tells Peter that he will deny Him three times. There is so much grace that I never noticed before that speaks so deeply to my imperfect-self during this Easter season.

  114. Katie @ A Place to Dwell

As someone who often struggles with “whys” and “what-ifs,” one of my favorite verses is: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Recently, I’ve also been loving the AMP translation, and here’s one of my favorite verses I’ve read in AMP:
“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:16-21

As far as stories/passages go, Hebrews 11 has been a huge encouragement to me recently. I was reading in Hebrews 11 the MSG translation recently, and these verses stood out like never before… “By faith, Abraham, at the time of testing, offered Isaac back to God. Acting in faith, he was as ready to return the promised son, his only son, as he had been to receive him—and this after he had already been told, ‘Your descendants shall come from Isaac.’ Abraham figured that if God wanted to, he could raise the dead. In a sense, that’s what happened when he received Isaac back, alive from off the altar.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:17-19‬ ‭MSG‬‬ Abraham was “as ready to return the promised son, his only son, as he had been to receive him…” WOW, right?! As ready to RETURN the blessing as he was to receive it… I’ve been asking myself if I’m holding my hopes and dreams and blessings that loosely and with that much trust in the One who holds everything…

  115. Sarah

I’m so excited for this webinar!

One of my favorite verses is Colossians 2:7, which says, “Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” For me, that verse reflects how I want to live out my faith: rooted in Christ, continually being strengthened, and giving thanks to Him in every circumstance.

    Favorite Bible Verse:
I praise YOU because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
    ~Psalm 139:14
I have always been a believer since I was a child; however, I drifted after High School for reasons of experiencing a loss in my life. The last several years my faith has deepened to a level that I realized I knew that I believed but had no idea who He was… If that makes since… I heard the whisper of Him saying, ” How am I to provide the desires of your heart, if you are not even that person”. It was definitely a spiritual awakening moment. It was this scripture that someone gave me that made a difference with not only my self worth and who He thought of me but deepening my relationship with Him. I had to start loving myself through loving Him.
